• October 9, 2012 [XBOX 360] - MyCareer freezing issues patch update for XBOX 360 platform. This fixed the case where the game suddenly freeze when playing NBA 2K13 My Career.
• October 10, 2012 - First official roster update for PC, XBOX 360 & PS3 platform.

• October 12, 2012 - NBA 2K13 Online Association rosters were updated.
• October 19, 2012 - 2K Sports released a patch for the New York Knicks home and away jerseys. This will update the Knicks uniforms to match their new 2012-2013 NBA jerseys. Apparently, NBA 2K didn't fix the real color of the Knicks away jersey (Sky Blue) but they only added a collar to the jerseys.
• October 22, 2012 - The NBA 2K13 court floors for the L.A.Lakers, Phoenix Suns, and Oklahoma City Thunder have been updated in game to match their new designs for the 2012 -2013 NBA season.

A new roster update for NBA 2K13 was released that adds 6 players in the game.
Updates: Kyrie Irving, Brandon Jennings, Kenneth Faried, O.J. Mayo, Anderson Varejao, DeMar DeRozan and AK47 received boosts on their overall ratings while Lamar Odom, Roy Hibbert, Rodney Stuckey and Joe Johnson received decreases.
Online Data: 1 OKC alternate jersey and 10 NBA Christmas jerseys.
There's no update yet for the NBA 2K13 PC version.
• November 21, 2012 [XBOX 360 & PS3] - 2K Sports announced that the official NBA 2K13 patch for Xbox 360 and PS3 will be available in the coming weeks. NBA 2K13 confirmed that the official patch has been submitted already to Sony and Microsoft. According to @Ronnie2K, It should be released as long as there are no problems.
• November 27, 2012 [XBOX 360 & PS3] - 2K Sports released the official patch v1.02 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Unfortunately, the official patch is not yet available for NBA 2K13 PC edition.

• December 5, 2012 [XBOX 360 & PS3] - New roster update was released for the console version of the game. This update is currently not available for NBA 2K13 PC and NBA 2K13 Wii U.
Online Data: The"White Hot" alternate jersey of the Miami Heat is now available in-game.

• December 6, 2012 [PC] - 2K Sports announced that they will release the new NBA 2K13 roster update for PC soon.

• December 8, 2012 - 2K Sports released a roster update for NBA 2K13 that will unlock the X-mas uniforms and the alternate jersey of the Miami Heat (White Hot). Unfortunately, 2K didn't release the texture files for the PC version so you need to install Christmas jersey patches to take advantage of those empty jersey slots.

• December 13, 2012 - 2K Sports released a minor roster update today along with the new Nike KD V shoes that includes a +5 boost to the 3 point shooting attribute.

• December 18, 2012 - A new roster update for NBA 2K13 has come through. This update includes player ratings changes, updates on injury status of some players and 5 new players have been added to the game.

• December 21, 2012 [Wii U] - The official patch that arrived for PS3 and Xbox 360 last Nov. 27, 2012 is now available for the Wii U version of NBA 2K13.
• December 21, 2012 - Another NBA 2K13 roster update from 2K Sports has come through today. It's a minor update that includes changes on players injury status and overall ratings adjustments.
Online Data: The online data includes Kobe VIII (8) and the Kobe VIII (8) ID shoes.

• December 25, 2012 - A new NBA 2K13 roster update is now available that adds the Adidas Winter Court Collection: Jerseys, Shorts, and Jackets for all 30 NBA teams in MyPlayer store and Christmas Day Edition of the following shoes: KD V, Kobe 8 and LeBron X. It seems like 2K Sports didn't change the roster at all aside from adding the items mentioned above.

• January 3, 2013 - 2K Sports released a new roster update for NBA 2K13 accurate as of January 3rd, 2013. Main players like Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash are now back in the game while some players were added to the injured reserve list.

• January 5, 2013 - A new official roster update is now available for NBA 2K13, accurate as of Jan. 5, 2013. This update includes player ratings changes and updates on injury status of some players. Unfortunately, Avery Johnson remains as the head coach of Brooklyn Nets in this roster.

• January 12, 2013 - A new NBA 2K13 official roster update has arrived, accurate as of Jan. 12, 2013. This update includes adjustments on injury status, changes on coaching staff and minor changes in overall player ratings.

• January 17, 2013 - A new NBA 2K13 roster is now available, accurate as of Jan. 17, 2013. It looks like adjustments on player ratings were the main focus of the latest NBA 2K13 roster update. LeBron James is now a 99 Overall rated player in this latest roster. Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol are now back in the game along with other key players.

• January 21, 2013 - 2K Sports released another minor roster update for NBA 2K13 accurate as of January 21st, 2013. The BHM colorways of the Kobe 8, KD V and LeBron X are the latest file addition to the Online Data files which can be found in 2K Shoes.

• January 24, 2013 - 2K Sports released a new roster update for NBA 2K13 accurate as of January 24th 2013. The Cavaliers-Grizzlies trade were the sole focus of the latest update. The "Birdman" Chris Andersen has been moved from Free Agents to Heat's roster. In addition to this update, the Acrobat signature skill has been removed because of an ongoing NBA 2K13 tournament. It has been removed from 20+ players temporarily while they work on a fix.

• January 30, 2013 - Another NBA 2K13 roster update has arrived, accurate as of January 30, 2013. The NBA 2013 All-Star lineup have been updated in this roster while the Acrobat Signature skill remains disabled due to ongoing NBA 2K13 tournament. 2K Sports also made some changes in player ratings and injury status.

• February 02, 2013 - A new NBA 2K13 roster update has been released, accurate as of February 2, 2013. The Memphis Grizzlies (with Tayshaun Prince, Austin Daye & Ed Davis), Detroit Pistons (with Jose Calderon) and Toronto Raptors (with Rudy Gay & Hamed Haddadi) trade has been implemented in this roster.

• February 12, 2013 - New roster update is now available to download for NBA 2K13 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. It seems like 2K Sports has barely changed anything in this update. There are no additional files in the online data, and Alvin Gentry remains as the head coach of the Phoenix Suns instead of Lindsey Hunter.

• February 15, 2013 - 2K Sports released a new roster update that acts as a follow-up to the recent update that had some minimal ratings changes and adjustments on the injury status for many players. 2K updated the participants of the All-Star Slam Dunk Contest and Three-Point Shootout. There were also a few changes in player ratings and the number of missing players remains at 13.

• February 22, 2013 - This roster update from 2KSports implements the latest NBA transactions that took place last Feb. 21, 2013.

- Atlanta traded guard Anthony Morrow to Dallas for guard Dahntay Jones.
- Houston traded forward Marcus Morris to Phoenix for a 2013 second-round draft pick. Traded forward Patrick Patterson, center Cole Aldrich and guard Toney Douglas to Sacramento for forward Thomas Robinson, forward Francisco Garcia and forward Tyler Honeycutt.
- Miami traded center Dexter Pittman, a 2013 second-round draft pick and cash considerations to Memphis for the draft rights to forward Ricky Sanchez.
- New York traded guard Ronnie Brewer to Oklahoma City for a 2014 second-round draft pick and cash.
- Oklahoma City traded guard Eric Maynor to Portland for the rights to forward Georgios Printezis and cash.
- Orlando traded guard J.J. Redick, center Gustavo Ayon and guard Ish Smith to Milwaukee for guard Doron Lamb, guard Beno Udrih and forward Tobias Harris.
- Phoenix waived forward Luke Zeller. (Has been moved to free agent list in-game)

- Washington traded guard Jordan Crawford to Boston for center Jason Collins and guard Leandro Barbosa.

• February 23, 2013 - Another minor NBA 2K13 roster update has arrived which added Kenyon Martin to the New York Knicks roster. They also added the Warriors trade and transactions, who sent forward Jeremy Tyler to Hawks and guard Charles Jenkins to 76ers.

• March 12, 2013 - Another NBA 2K13 roster update arrived for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, accurate as of March 12, 2013. The latest update adds Aaron Brooks to the Houston Rockets lineup with 78 rating and bunch of players have been added to the injured reserve list. Those include Danny Granger, Nick Young, Kyrie Irving and Amare Stoudemire being inactivated while Mo Williams, Tornike Shengelia, Jameer Nelson, and Andrew Bogut return to action. The update also adds the Jordan XX8 shoes to the game.

• March 23, 2013 - 2K Sports has just released a roster update for NBA 2K13 accurate as of March 23, 2013. The newest update includes a number of adjustments on player ratings and injury status. They also added the guard Chris Quinn to the Cavs roster and moved the veteran guard Raja Bell into free agency.

• April 2, 2013 - The first roster update for the month of April has just been released by 2K Sports. The latest NBA 2K13 update focused primarily on updating the team lineups and removing players from the injured reserve. Kyrie Irving and other main players are also back in the game.

• April 19, 2013 - New file additions! 2K Sports added seven (7) new shoes in the game which includes Jordan Aero Mania Low, KD V Elite Plus, LeBron X Elite PS Plus, Red Camo and Blue Camo colorways of the Air Jordan XX8, Jordan CP3 VI.AE and the Game Royal/Gym Red color way of the Jordan SuperFly.
• April 20, 2013 [Consoles] - 2K Sports released a roster that features players' rating changes and rotations update for the NBA Playoffs. Tracy McGrady and Quentin Richardson are the newest addition to the NBA 2K13 roster.

• April 25, 2013 [Consoles] - 2K Sports released a minor roster update for NBA 2K13 which focused primarily on the playoff teams, removing players from the Injured Reserve and updating the teams' lineups to reflect the changes of the ongoing 2013 NBA Playoffs.

• April 27, 2013 [Consoles] - 2K released another NBA 2K13 roster update for PS3 and Xbox 360 as the NBA 2012-13 playoffs move along. The said update adjusts the injury status of Steve Blake, Steve Nash, Jodie Meeks, and Russell Westbrook while Carmelo Anthony received a boost in rating after successful performances in the NBA.

• May 3, 2013 [PC Only] - A new roster update for NBA 2K13 PC has been released containing all the features from April 20th to April 27th update, including all the new shoes. This is basically the same as the April 27th update that have received by the ps3 and 360 users.

• May 7, 2013 [PS3 & XBOX 360] - Update for XBOX 360 and PS3 platform. This fixes the issue where the game stops loading on the main menu.
• May 7, 2013 - New NBA 2K13 playoffs roster update is now available for download. Marc Gasol is the only player who received a boost in overall rating. The 2 biggest players of the current playoffs, Stephen Curry and Nate Robinson did not received any boost in this update. Luol Deng, Kirk Hinrich, and Steve Novak have been added to the injured list.

• May 11, 2013 - Roster update for NBA 2K13 that reflect the changes in 2nd-round playoff series. Kent Bazemore has finally been added into the GSW roster. Tiago Splitter and Amar'e Stoudemire returns from injury. 2K Sports also rewarded the top performers throughout the playoffs by giving them an increase in overall rating.

• May 13, 2013 - Take-Two Interactive, chief company of 2K Sports, announced the official release date of NBA 2K14. The company has not yet revealed the platforms supported for NBA 2K14.

• May 22, 2013 - 2K Sports released a new roster on 2K Share which features adjustments to ratings and injury status. 3 players from the eastern conference received some increase in overall rating, namely Jimmy Butler, Norris Cole, and Iman Shumpert. Steve Novak also returns from injured to active status.
