2K Sports is handing out bans on mass right now! Players of NBA 2K16 on Steam (PC version) are reporting being banned from playing online due to unfair play - basically they were using third-party programs such as Cheat Engine to exploit the game's code to modify VC (virtual currency), MyPlayer attribute upgrades, MyPark rep level and more.
Those who actively engaged in cheating and exploiting the game in this manner will be permanently banned from playing MyPark, MyTeam, 2K Pro-Am and other online game modes in NBA 2K16.
Cheating became a massive problem in NBA 2K16, generating thousands of complaints. It's finally good to see 2K taking actions against online cheaters.
