“I'm so proud to be the face of this franchise as it makes its much-anticipated return. I've been on the court with the development team and I've seen first-hand some of the amazing things EA Sports is doing with NBA Live 14. The fans are going to love it!”

In a league full of talented, young point guards, Irving is probably one of the most deadly players when it comes to dribbling skills. Despite playing in just 11 games at Duke due to foot injury, he was selected 1st overall by the Cavaliers in the NBA Draft 11, and immediately lead the franchise into its next era.

Two years later and his resume is growing: NBA Rookie of the Year, NBA All-Star, USA Basketball selection, and Three-Point Contest champion. What will Kyrie Irving do in his 3rd year? We asked him a couple of questions to find out.

Question #1: Rookie of the Year, All-Star, Three-Point Contest champion, and Team USA Basketball selection. What's next?
“Hopefully it's helping lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to the NBA Playoffs.”

Question #2: You're going into your 3rd year in the NBA. What have you learned, and what are you most focused on improving
“I've learned that every day is a grind and that it's really important to put the hard work in both during the season and offseason. I'm looking forward to taking my game to the next level and becoming a better all-around player.”

Some questions regarding NBA Live 14 and EA Sports:

Question #3: Will you play as yourself in the game, or somebody else?
“I'll definitely be playing as the Cavs!”

Question #4: Other than NBA LIVE, what's your EA SPORTS game of choice?
“FIFA all day!”

Question #5: What does it mean to be on the cover of NBA LIVE 14?
“It's an unbelievable honor. I'm really excited to be a part of the return of the NBA LIVE franchise with EA SPORTS.”
