Top 5 Most Common NBA 2K12 Problems

Although most common issues in NBA 2K12 can be fixed by simply re-installing the game, We decided to make a guide on how to fix NBA 2K12 bugs & glitches because many players doesn't want to re-install the game every time they encounter a glitch. The following are the top 5 common NBA 2K12 problems:

1. Rookie Black Arms

-  PC gamers:
a. Download the rookie black arms fix here
b. Extract the file and copy all the files into NBA 2K12 game folder (not saves folder)
("C:\Program Files\2K Sports\NBA 2K12")
c. Overwrite the original files.

- XBOX and PS3
A patch came out few months ago that fixed this issue in xbox 360 and ps3. If you're still experiencing this problem, make sure your gaming console is connected on the internet and follow these steps.
a. Go to NBA 2K12 main menu
b. Open "2K Share"
c.  Download the Official Roster and Official Patch
d. Go to Main menu > Options > Load / Save > Select the latest Roster you downloaded from 2K Share.

2. Updating NBA Today Failed

For some unknown reason, the PC version of NBA 2K12 doesn't update the NBA Today automatically unless you delete the NBA Today.LSF file from your "Saves" folder. We created a tool that will automatically delete your "NBA Today.LSF file from your "Saves" folder, You can download the tool here

Update: PC version, XBOX 360 and PS3 - We (www.nba2k.org) called the customer support and they said that this issue is not yet fixed so if you're experiencing this problem, don't worry you're not alone lol. If you bought the game, We suggest that you send an email to techsupport@2ksports.com at customerservice@2ksports.com or call 1-866-219-9839 to speak with a customer service representative. We all know that these people will not make any action unless we spam their inbox.

3. White Shoes Glitch

-  PC gamers:
a. Download the latest Online Data here
b. Extract the file and copy all the files into NBA 2K12 Online Data > downloads folder.
c. Overwrite the original files.

Note: If you don't have Online Data folder, just create one and create "downloads" folder inside.

How to find Online Data folder?
- Windows 7 and Windows Vista:
It's located at "C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\NBA 2K12\Online Data\downloads" You can find it by opening the Start Menu then type %Appdata% in the search pane then Open 2K Sports > NBA 2K12 > Online Data > downloads

- Windows XP users:
It's located at "C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\2K Sports\NBA 2K12\Online Data\downloads" Open "Run" > type %Appdata% then press Enter and Open 2K Sports > NBA 2K12 > Online Data > downloads

4. White NBA 2012 All-Star Jerseys
-  PC gamers:
a. Update your NBA 2K12 Roster
b. Download the NBA 2012 All-Star Jersey fix here
c. Extract the files and Paste it inside NBA 2K12 game folder.
d. Overwrite the original files.

- XBOX and PS3
We haven't received any reports but in case you're experiencing this problem, follow the steps:
a. Open 2K Share
b. Download the latest Roster
c. Go to Main menu > Options > Load / Save > Select the latest Roster you downloaded from 2K Share.

5. Can't update NBA 2K12 Roster
-  PC gamers:
a. Download the latest official roster here: (June 27, 2012 - No Injured Players)
b. Extract the file.
c. Paste it in your NBA 2K12 "Saves" folder.
d. Go to Main menu > Options > Load / Save > Select the latest Roster.

How to find Saves folder?
- Windows 7 and Windows Vista:
It's located at "C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\NBA 2K12\Saves" You can find it by opening the Start Menu then type %Appdata% in the search pane then Open 2K Sports > NBA 2K12 > Saves.

- Windows XP users:
It's located at "C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\2K Sports\NBA 2K12\Saves" Open "Run" > type %Appdata% then press Enter and Open 2K Sports > NBA 2K12 > Saves.

- XBOX and PS3
a. Open 2K Share
b. Download the latest Roster. (Download the official roster only)
c. Go to Main menu > Options > Load / Save > Select the latest Roster.

Note: Loading the roster after downloading it is mandatory. If you forgot to do this then the roster you downloaded will not work.

This post is kinda late since the new NBA2K game will be released on October 2, 2012 but still 3 months is a lot of time.
